Residents of Amsterdam in the Netherlands were seen on Friday (March 20th) taking out their "coronavirus frustration" on punchbags hanging in the streets.

The bags were placed around the city by a local boxing gym which was forced to close because of the outbreak.

Local authorities say the punchbags can stay, so long as those using them wash their hands.

See inhabitants of Amsterdam, and even a policeman throw punches at boxing bags that have been hung up in the city by a local boxing school that had to close because of the corona crisis. The city is condoning the punching bags, as long as people watch their hygiene with the virus around. The boxing bags can be found in the city centre, as well as along the river side. People are 'hitting out the corona' or are hitting them because they 'don't know where to go with their energy'.
