A residential community in Pasaje Can Mayor, Madrid clap from their balconies in support of its healthcare workers, as Spain continues to struggle against the coronavirus.

The Community of Madrid has registered this Friday a total of 5,972 deceased patients with coronavirus, which represents 37.6 percent of the national total and an increase of 172 more deaths compared to yesterday Thursday.

In addition, the evolution of the number of infected people slows down notably with 906 more people compared to yesterday when the rise in those infected exceeded a thousand in the last few days.

According to data from the Ministry of Health, the increase in deaths decreased by 42 people compared to that detected yesterday, when the trend of deaths of people with coronavirus stabilized, given that on Wednesday it was 215 and on Tuesday 235 deaths.
Thus, the evolution of fatal cases of Covid-19 has chained several days in a downline, since last Monday the growth of deceased was 195, last Sunday it reached 218 while last Saturday it was 240 deceased and on Friday the growth stood at 308 deaths.

On the other hand, the evolution of infected patients also decreased, registering a total of 44,783 positive cases, which is equivalent to an increase of 906 people compared to yesterday.

This is a notable slowdown, with 500 fewer positives, compared to the increases detected in the last few days, since on Thursday the increase was 1,427 infected and on Wednesday it was quantified at 1,981 more infected compared to Tuesday, which in turn presented an increase of 1,746 infected more.
Across Spain, cases of coronavirus have risen to 157,022 this Friday (4,576 more than Thursday) and deaths to 15,843 (605 more), although the decline in the number of people who have lost their lives due to Covid continues. -19, according to the latest data published by the Ministry of Health. 55,668 people have already been cured.
