The Community of Madrid has transferred to the five unions present in the Health Sector Roundtable the intention of the Executive of Isabel Díaz Ayuso not to renew half of the 11,300 Covid-19 reinforcement contracts in the Madrid healthcare, which expire on December 31.
The government of the Community of Madrid wants to dismiss 7500 public health professionals workers on December 31, while maintaining eternal waiting lists, primary care and closed SUAPs and hospital emergencies saturated. In this protest, health professionals demand the renewal of 100% of COVID contracts and conversion to structural staff for several reasons. The first is because we are certain that our healthcare needs more healthcare to give patients the dignified and quality care they deserve and to decongest waiting lists.
