Huge shark caught basking off the coast of Cornwall, UK weeks earlier than normal
This video shows a huge basking SHARK that was spotted off the coast of Cornwall, weeks ahead of schedule.
The footage shows the animal swimming slowly just below the surface of the water, catching zooplankton and tiny finish in it's giant open mouth.
Filmed by Andrew Cowie from Atlantic Adventures, the shark was spotted in Mount's Bay, near Penzance, Cornwall.
Basking sharks usually visit UK waters between May and October.
