Borr Drilling's Prospector 1 jack-up drill rig is being stored at the Port of Sheerness in Kent for 6 months due to a lack of work caused by the coronavirus, after having been towed in from the North Sea.

The huge rig really stands out at night, when it is fully illuminated, with some locals referring to it on social media as being 'lit up like a Christmas tree'. Footage taken on May 18 & 19.

The rig has accommodation for up to 140 people, and it is believed to still have a skeleton crew of around 30-50 onboard to look after the massive £123 million machine, whilst it awaits its next contract. In August, it will be joined by its sister rig 'Prospector 5'.
