A man in south India discovered a rare albino cobra slithering in his home and contacted a local snake catcher to rescue it.

Jagadeesh, a resident of P.N. Puthur in Coimbatore, Kerala, called snake catcher Santhosh, who found the nearly four-foot-long pale reptile hiding in a nearby bush.

Forest officials was informed about the white snake and with the help of the officials the snake was released in the Marudhamalai forest area.

Officials commented that there are no natural species of white cobra, and this snake may have gained its unusual colour from a genetic defect.

Jagadeesh a resident of P.N.Puthur found a rare variety of white snake roaming around his home for a past couple of days. Then he called Santhosh a snake catcher of Coimbatore and later Santhosh reached the spot. His hunt for the rare white snake started. He saw the white snake in the nearby bush and it was nearly 4 feet long. Forest officials was informed about the white snake and with the help of the officials the snake was released in the Marudhamalai forest area.

When enquired about the snake the officials said there is no variety called a white cobra. This colour of the snake might be because of its genetical disorders.
