White spectacled cobra rescued from garden in eastern India
A rare white spectacled cobra snake was rescued from a garden in eastern India's West Bengal.
The incident took place on April 10 in Madarihat, located in Alipurduar district of the state.
Visuals showed a rescuer pulling out the cobra using a snake stick. Later, he puts the reptile inside a bag.
According to reports, the reptile was spotted in the garden a few times. The snake's presence also caused panic among locals, who were afraid to venture anywhere near the garden.
On Sunday, when the snake was spotted, locals informed the forest department, who reached the spot and carried out the rescue.
The snake was later released in its natural habitat.
