On the first anniversary of the protests in Hong Kong, a group of protesters and journalists get into a small conflict with police with pepper balls being used to disperse the crowd on Tuesday (June 9).

9/6/2020 was the 1st anniversary of the social movement currently happening in Hong Kong. Thus, some protestors planned a protest of Hong Kong island starting from the evening, which ended up to be a small-scaled police conflict.

The police was patrolling along Des Voeux Road Central, trying to clear both the pavements and the road. The police warned the crowd, including citizens and journalist to leave, or pepper ball will be deployed. However, almost right after the warning, the riot police immediately projected the deployed the pepper ball. Since the police were approaching the crowd and the crowd wasn't given enough time to retreat, a lot was shot by the pepper ball within an extremely close distance. The point-blank-range-deploy of pepper ball caused Asthma attack on a citizen. Then, part of the crowd was then arrested for unlawful assembly, first aiders were also included.
