Young & Inquisitive Seagull Cant Help But Poke Basking Turtle
Wildlife photographer caught the moment when a young seagull cannot contain his curiosity when he finds a strange sight, a fresh water turtle. These reptiles are none native to the United Kingdom, so for the seagull this is a fascinating sight.
The bird approaches the reptile and rather aggressively bites the turtles legs. Without any fear, the gull pursues the small reptile but it seems to be defeated by its shell. The bird soon accepts defeat and leaves the turtle alone. The patience of the armoured reptile has paid off and he lives to swim another day.
