Flashing UFO type object seen close to aircraft filmed with a full spectrum camera conversion
This video starts with zoomed views of the object, followed by actual view showing an aircraft for comparison.
The footage is filmed with a full spectrum and infrared filter camera conversion set to black and white mode.
An aircraft I was using to set the camera focus passed an object which at first appeared to be stationary but was actually moving very slowly to my left.
It increased its speed gradually over the 8 minutes I was able to track it.
The object travelled from approximately 260 deg to 245 deg at an alt of around 30 deg.
I have done many hours of daylight infrared and night vision filming over the years and recorded drones, aircraft, high altitude balloons, satellites, Iridium flares, the ISS, meteors etc, but this object did not resemble anything I have seen or filmed before.
There was a westerly wind at 7 mph, gusting at 17 mph and the object appeared to be moving slower than the clouds at first and ended up moving a little faster and in roughly the same direction towards the end.
I was unable to see the object with the naked eye or with the use of binoculars.
The passing airline was possibly 10-15 miles away and may have been a departure from East Midlands airport.
