Brant Matthews set a Guinness World Record of the most torches extinguished by fire eating in just 1 minute.

The record of 99 was broken by Matthews in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in August 2018. Matthews managed to put out 101 torches in his mouth before the time ran out.

Brant Matthews set a Guinness World Record on August 10 2018 at the Wisconsin State Fair. The previous record was 99 torches, Fire eating on stage with security and fire department representatives. Brant had tried to get the record in 2017 but failed. After a year of focus and training he was ready to crush the world record by setting up 105 torches. Luckily he did because a wind picked up and blew on torch off the rack. Brant almost called off the stunt because of the wind.

The official certificate reads "The most torches extinguished by fire eating in one minute is 101, and was achieved by Brant Matthews (Canada) in West Allis, Wisconsin, USA, on 10 August 2010."
