A fleet of elephants worshiped lord Ganesha in Southern India

Vinayagar Chathurthi (Celebrating the birth of lord vinayaga the elephant headed god.) celebrations were held at the Theppakadu Elephant domestication camp at the Mudumalai Tiger Reserve in south india.

All the trained elephants at Theppakadu camp raised their trunk and trumpeted loudly when deeparadhana was performed for Lord Ganesha at the Mudumalai Tiger Reserve.

The elephants were given a bath in the Moyar river and were lined up before the Ganesha temple in the elephant camp for Vinayaka Chathurthi.

Baby elephant were also there. And two elephants rang the bells at the Vinayagar temple and knelt down to worship Vinayagar at the celebrations that were held in the domestication camp. Following the prayers, the elephants were lined up and were provided with sweets and special food. Usually tourist will be allowed to witness the enthralling scene but this year due to the pandemic only local villagers were seen there
