Teenager baker makes realistic and delicious-looking 'bubble tea' cake
Aliya Grewal, aged 17 from British Columbia, Canada, demonstrates how to make a CAKE that looks just like a bubble tea in this clip from April 25.
Eight layers of the cake are separated with a layer of buttercream and covered in a layer of icing with a real bubble tea hidden inside.
Grewal, also known as @cakelegend on TikTok, boasts 1.3 million followers and a whopping 22.5 million likes.
She told Newsflare: "My best friend is OBSESSED with bubble tea! So for her birthday, I made her a giant bubble tea cake and surprised her by actually hiding a bubble tea in the middle! She had no idea I was making this and was very, very surprised.
"I started my baking journey by volunteering at a cupcake shop, though I did enjoy baking before that as well! I learned a lot from watching the cake decorators work and being around them, so I wanted to start practicing cake decorating at home.
"Not too long later, I started my own little cake business from home and took cake orders from family and friends, which also helped me get more practice in the skill! After six months of volunteering, I got hired at the cupcake shop, and I've been working there ever since! It has been over three years now since my very first day there."
