New university students flocked to Nottingham's bars on Wednesday (September 23), ahead of tonight's 10 pm curfew on pubs, restaurants.

Footage showed crowds of students queuing to enter the city's bars. Few appeared to adhere to social distancing rules.

The filmer told Newsflare: "One bar hosting a full moon party had queues stretching around the block. A doorman from Bierkeller and an event marshal were seen pleading with people to social distance and stay in groups of six or less, or they would be removed from the queue."

Student freshers descended Nottingham's bars last night 23/09/2020 ahead of tonight's 10pm curfew which will force bars closed. The curfew comes as infection rates have been recorded rising. Social distancing was at a minimum as students enjoyed themselves and the rules of 6 appeared to be ignored.
