Panic ensued when a herd of elephants barged into Dholaguri tea garden in Numaligarh town, eastern India, on October 13.
Footage shows the herd being shooed away by locals as they roam through tea fields.
According to local sources, the wild elephants caused a large amount of damage to Dholaguri and the surrounding areas.
"More than 70 elephants have brutally destroying rice paddy fields, houses, and crops.
"Their destruction terrifies the people."
"Wild elephants enter in the daytime, and forest workers are unable to control or drive them away," said the filmer.
