When Saba Moti, a grandfather in the central Israeli city of Modi'in-Maccabim-Re'ut, saw chairs being put out for garbage pickup, his idea for a "chair garden" was born.

Footage from October 22 shows Moti's collection of over 420 chairs, which he says is visited by many, including schoolchildren who did a project on the initiative.

Some salvaged chairs are suspended from trees, while others have flower pots placed onto their seats.

Moti told local media that he enjoys spending his hours during the coronavirus pandemic adding to his collection of forgotten chairs.

He said: “Children come. They see it and enjoy it. What else do you need in life?”
