The T.W. Lane, a fire engine built in 1883, competing at a firemen's muster in Winchendon, Massachusetts. The T.W. Lane is a Button Fire Engine built in Waterford, New York and now owned by the B.F. Hoxie Engine Company in Mystic, Connecticut.

This sport is a competition to see which crew can play the longest stream of water. Organized in 1849, this sport pre-dates even baseball and was, for a time, the most popular in the United States. There are meets every summer, put on by the New England States Veteran Firemen's League. It's a combination of historic preservation and friendly competition, and it's very unique!
