Robotics engineer Aaron Shepard from South Carolina has created a piece of technology that he claims is controlled with your brain.

The footage shows Shepard holding a strip of lights called "NeuroVibez" that allegedly changes colour depending on what the user is thinking.

Shepard explained: "NeuroVibez is an LED light strip that changes colors as you change your mind.

"Put on the headset and focus your attention on a single thought or object to turn the lights an intense red.

"Relax your mind to make the lights a serene blue.

"Balance between focus and relaxation to create the colors of the rainbow!"

Shapard's inspiration for the technology came when he was a child and dreamed of being able to control objects with his mind.

Fast forward a couple of decades now Shepard has co-founded a startup business called Cogito which builds "exciting brain responsive devices for entertainment and mindfulness training."
