Baby dolphin rescued by locals on beach in Myanmar
A heartwarming video has emerged from Myanmar of a baby dolphin being rescued after it became stranded on a beach.
The footage, captured by local resident Lin Lei Tun on Ngwe Saung beach in the south of the country, also known as Burma, shows a group of men rescuing the young dolphin from the shallows and releasing it back into deeper water.
According to the filmer, the group tried to push the dolphin away from the shore, but the waves were too strong and kept carrying it back towards the beach.
“We decided to hire a speedboat and got some help from a man to carry the baby dolphin on the boat…driving far from the beach where we released the baby dolphin into the sea," she later wrote online.
