Crowds of students and professors are protesting at Bogazici University in Turkey due to the appointment of a new school rector.

According to local reports, many students were detained outside the university because of the protests against President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s appointment of a new head.

Students and professors at Bogazici University, one of Turkey’s most well-known institutions, are protesting President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s appointment of a new rector. Police did not allow the action to be carried out in front of Boğaziçi University. Students were prevented from exiting the school and taking action outside by the police. Police intervened to the students gathered outside. MPs were battered. Many students were detained.
