People in the United Kingdom took part in claps for Captain Sir Tom Moore, who died due to COVID-19 on February 2 at the age of 100.

Prime Minister Boris Johnson urged people across the country to clap in a show of appreciation at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, February 3.

Captain Moore was a British World War II veteran who raised millions of pounds for health service workers on the frontline of the battle against the coronavirus.
