On February 10, 2021 around 0945hrs, Coal Township Fire departments were alerted to reports of a working fire in the 140-01 area of the township. Local police quickly arrived and confirmed a working fire on division 2 with several people trapped on the roof and needing a way down. A second alarm as quickly struck along with addition special calls for manpower and tankers to help fight the blaze. Reports of an explosion early during the fire, had command set up defensive operations for a while. Crews were seen entering and fighting the blaze from neighboring side of the half double once part of the fire building collapsed. Around 3 hours into the fire units were starting to be slowly released from service or standby.

Neighboring homes sustained heat damage to the vinyl siding.
