Protestors in Wrexham, North Wales, United Kingdom demonstrated outside the town's police station on March 15 to show their opposition to the government's newly proposed police, crime, sentencing and courts bill.

Protestors from Wrexham, North Wales, UK, demonstrated outside the towns Police Station this evening, March: 15th 2021, to show their opposition to the UK Governments newly proposed Police, Crime, Sentencing and Courts Bill.
The protestors say that the deliberately vague language used would enable the police to act unilaterally with near unlimited discretion. They go on to say that, the rights to peacefully assemble and protest are a fundamental part of any democracy, empowering people to have their voices heard, in addition to holding the Government to account. The Demonstrators risked arrest and fines by their protest, which, at present, contravenes Covid-19 regulations, making large gatherings illegal. But the protestors were adamant and stated that the New Bill being decided upon in Parliament tomorrow, appears to be a blatant attempt to create an authoritarian police state, where the voices of ordinary people, particularly those most marginalised and disadvantaged, are silenced by state sanctioned penalties.
