6.5 millions of Bulgarians are going to parliamentary elections - first vote during the COVID-19 pandemic. It occur under strict anti-epidemic measures, safety and infection control rules, as well as mobile sections for quarantined citizens and voter's points in hospitals. 30 parties and coalitions are fighting for 240 seats in the 45th National Assembly.

The elections came after an year (2020) full of anti-government protests and corruption scandal in the poorest EU state. The ruling government is led by Boyko Borissov – a politician who created and developed GERB political party. Borissov remain on power for more than 10 years.
