'An unexpected car crash was caught on camera back in the summer of 2018.

Emanating from Kaluga, Russia, and recorded on Alexander Zhelnin's car's dashcam, this clip starts with the filmer driving on the 65 Let Pobedy street (a two-way street).

From the opposite direction comes a van with a driver who decides to take a sudden U-Turn, resulting in a collision with the filmer's car, knocking the latter's license plate off as a result.

Alexander wrote: "The careless van driver suddenly decided to take a U-turn on a major road without taking into account the incoming high-speed traffic. Unfortunately, I didn't have a chance to fully stop and ended up ramming my car into the van."

He added: "The whole accident was caught on the dashcam. Through this video, I also want to highlight the importance of being vigilant on the road and the fact that how little time one has to react to the stupidities of others on the road. Thankfully, no one was seriously hurt in the accident."

Name: Alexander Zhelnin
