Bangladesh announces 8-day complete lockdown till April 21 and suspends international flights. During the lockdown period, markets and shopping malls will remain closed, but restaurants and hotels to remain open from morning till evening but only for takeaway or online services.
The video shows Jatrabari, one of Dhaka's busiest areas, completely deserted during the coronavirus lockdown. Bangladesh police have restricted the movement of vehicles on the inter-district highway. Pedestrian bridges are closed to public crossings.
