This timelapse shows the newly classified atmospheric phenomenon known as STEVE (Strong Thermal Emission Velocity Enhancement) on March 28, 2021.

The filmer said: "Although this appears similar to aurora borealis, it has, in fact, been verified by NASA as a completely different phenomenon. I shot this near Cupar, Saskatchewan facing west. This is a 4K timelapse made up of 280 still images."
