Protesters in Elizabeth City, North Carolina demanded the release of body cam footage after a Pasquotank County deputy fatally shot Andrew Brown Jr., a 40-year-old black man, while serving a search warrant on Wednesday, April 21.

"The people of Elizabeth City ... they desire a right to know what took place this morning," said councilman Darius J. Horton, per USA Today. "There is a moment of hurt in Elizabeth City."
