A boy luckily avoided serious injuries after being attacked by a buffalo in southern China.

The video, filmed in the city of Longyan in Fujian Province on April 25, shows an out-of-control buffalo smashing into a boy and throwing him into the air.

After the boy landed back onto the ground and slid to the bottom of a car, he was heard saying: "I am sorry brother buffalo, please do not hit me."

The buffalo then ran away and the boy got back on his feet.

Fortunately, the boy only suffered minor scratches.

According to reports, four people were reportedly injured by the buffalo, three of them have already been discharged from hospital and one is still hospitalised for observation.

Police have managed to narrow down the search for the buffalo to just the Matou Mountain area.

4月25日 福建龙岩。武平县一头疯牛在街道乱窜时，袭击了一名男孩。男孩被疯牛挑飞恰好落进一辆车的车底。疯牛疯狂顶撞轿车发出巨大的响声，男孩在车底慌忙道歉求牛大哥别打自己。随后疯牛自行离去，男孩爬出车底后离开了现场。当地警方称，被撞男孩儿没事儿，只是些轻微擦伤。目前仍在对疯牛实施抓捕，并提醒居民，在警报解除之前出门要格外小心。
4月26日，武平县公安局关于水牛袭人事件的情况通报如下：
2021年4月25日中午12时许，武平县公安局指挥中心接到报警称：在环城西路有一只水牛挣脱缰绳后到处疯跑冲撞，情况危急。

接警后，武平县公安局指挥中心立即指派巡特警反恐大队和平川派出所民警赶赴现场处置。目前，被牛撞伤的4名群众经救治后其中3人已于当天出院，1人住院观察，均无大碍。该牛被控制在马头山一定的山头区域内，搜寻工作在进一步开展当中，进出路口已安排警力和群众围堵。
