A startled water buffalo went on a rogue rampage through the city streets, leaving onlookers in a state of shock and dismay in southern China.

The video was filmed in the city of Wuzhou in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region on September 24.

The creature collided head-on with multiple electric scooters, overturning them, and sending waves of fear through nearby merchants who scrambled to evade the charging menace.

Eyewitnesses revealed that it was only when the buffalo’s owner arrived on the scene that the animal was eventually subdued, bringing relief to the shaken public.

Miraculously, despite the havoc wreaked by the runaway buffalo, no injuries have been reported among the local populace.

As of now, discussions and negotiations are still underway regarding compensation.

The video was provided by local media with permission.
