'Fifth' of stores have closed on London's Oxford Street as a result of pandemic
One in five stores on Oxford Street, London, have closed during the pandemic, according to lobby group the New West End Company.
Footage filmed as stores reopened on April 12 shows Debenhams being boarded-up ready for demolition and the iconic branch of Top Shop lying empty, with Christmas offers still displayed on the screens and a group of mannequins on the shop floor.
