Weekend lockdown in Mumbai, India

Mumbai city on Saturday (April 10) saw a spike of 9,327 new cases, taking the overall tally to 5,10,225. Whereas, 50 people also lost their lives. So far, 4,06,087 people have been recovered. Active cases stand at 91,108.
As per the state government's order, weekend lockdown was imposed across Mumbai from Friday night and Mumbaikars woke up to deserted streets on Saturday morning. The duration of the weekend lockdown has been set as Friday, 8 pm to Monday, 7 pm, during which no person was allowed to step outside their homes without a valid reason.
