Living in the Romney Marshes, reed warblers are our Spring/Summer visitors from Sub-Saharan Africa. Their song are (as far as I knew) like a mini ratchet machine-gun fire. However, this summer, I had the chance of taping one when I heard this sweet thrill...and I thought - wow! Never heard that before! Looks like I made a mistake and it was actually a Sedge Warbler. No wonder the song is different.
