Avenida Paulista once again carries out the “Ruas Abertas” (Open Streets) program, which closes the avenue for cars and becomes a place of leisure, an activity suspended since March 2020 to avoid crowding. There is a great movement of street artists, cyclists, pedestrians among others.

"My name is Eriel, I'm from Maceio Alagoas. This is my second time here, the other time I was here it was closed and it didn't look like São Paulo, Paulista looks like São Paulo! I'm finding it very safe to reopen even for the artirts to do their arts or merchants too, the staff wears masks, I see that there is a distance and there is alcohol in gel and the staff is taking care of themselves and I found the reopening very interesting."
