A camper van was reduced to rubble after it was pushed into a bridge by raging floodwater in Bern, Switzerland.

Janik Bühler in Meiringen filmed as the vehicle collided with the structure and was sucked into the floodwater.

The camper van then appeared on the other side of the bridge in hundreds of broken pieces.

Bühler said: "Switzerland has recently been hit by flooding. I took this video while walking over the bridge on my way back home. When I saw the camper floating down the floodwater, I knew that it would hit the bridge, so I started filming."

This footage was filmed on July 15.

'Even though this appears to be something straight out of a Roland Emmerich disaster movie, this intense scene is as real as real can get.
