Woman afraid of heights spent $650 and took a 27-hour train ride to avoid flying
A woman who is so afraid of heights that she BLACKS OUT in high places embarked on a 27-hour train journey from Pennsylvania to Florida because she couldn’t stomach the two-hour flight.
Kira Sky DeRemer’s phobia is debilitating and she has never been on an airplane or a rollercoaster due to her intense fear.
Instead of paying around $75 for the two-hour flight from Pennsylvania to Florida last month, Kira shelled out $650 for her train ticket.
But she believes it was worth it to avoid the panic that boarding an airplane and enduring a flight would cause her.
The assistant gym manager, 22, said: “I will black out.
“I’m one of those people that will make a scene with the screaming and I’ll stay in the same spot or try and crawl down the steps.
“I’m so dramatic but I can’t help it.”
