This footage was filmed and produced 29 August 2021.

A category 4 out of five storm - Ida hit the Louisiana coast on Sunday. Now the weather has eased, but left behind a destroyed New Orleans.

Somewhere the wind blew off the roofs, somewhere it knocked down the trees. Not surprisingly, its speed in some areas reached 150 miles (240 kilometers) per hour. This figure is higher than the wind speed of Hurricane Katrina, which had the third category and is considered the most destructive in US history.

In the video, a man uses a car to dismantle debris from trees on the road near his house.
