Olly Murs stopped mid-gig to help a woman who collapsed - then halted his show again to come to the crowd to personally thank a loyal fan with Down syndrome.

A teenager in the crowd needed assistance after she had a seizure at his concert, and was wheeled out on a stretcher.

The hitmaker stopped his concert to jump down off the stage to check the girl was ok, and fans cheered as he shouted "See you later babe. Stay safe and lots of love."

And the kind-hearted singer halted the show at Colchester Castle Park minutes later when he noticed a super fan in the front row.

He hopped off the stage to thank and high-five Samuel, who onlookers said has Down syndrome, after he spotted the lad knew every single word to all his hits, on August 29.

Sharron Thomas, 50, an events organiser from Sudbury, Essex, was at the gig with her daughters Carys, 16, and Chloe 19 and captured the touching moments on camera.

The five-times-a-year concert goer said: "Everyone there was just so touched.

"I've never known that to happen at a concert before.

"Samuel's family said they'll never forget it.

"Everybody was just so mushed-up. We were all doing hand-on-hearts.

"It's up there with the best concerts I've ever been to.

"He made every person in that room feel special."
