This philatelist from southern India has been collecting stamps and postal covers since he was a child and has now amassed an award-winning collection.

Akhil Reddy from Bangalore focuses on Revenues Stamps from Mysore State, Air Mails and early postal covers sent during colonial times.

Reddy's hobby went to the next level after he was invited to join the Karnataka Philatelic Association in 2014 where he met senior collectors who gave him some good advice and encouragement.

In 2019, his collection scooped the silver medal at a major event in Mangalore.

A Philatelist Akhil Reddy from Bangalore, Karnataka collected Stamps and postal covers around the world. He did his Engineering in Telecommunication from SJCIT Chickballapur and working as Sr IT Analyst in Synamedia India Pvt LTD.

His main themes in collecting are Revenues Stamps of Mysore State, Air Mails and early postal covers (pre-1870) sent from British India to Great Britain through sea.

He started collecting stamps since he was 8 years old. He used to cut stamps from letters addressed to his father and paste them in a book later his friends and relatives helped him to collect different countries stamps. He has collected all kinds of stamps and accumulating them until he joined Karnataka Philatelic Association (KPS) in year 2014 where he met senior collectors who advised me to collect stamps in Themes.

He have Won a Large Silver Medal in KARNAPEX 2019 held in Mangalore, Medal Presented by Dr. Charles Lobo then Post Master General of Karnataka Circle and a Vermeil medal in INPEX2019 a National Stamp Show.
