The wildfires originally erupted on Wednesday (8 september) in the mountainous Sierra Bermeja above Estepona, a popular spot for British tourists and retirees. Over the weekend, a fire engulfed the municipality of the province of Malaga - Estepona. Around 2,500 people were evacuated from Malaga province, where the Costa del Sol tourist hotspot is located, and the blaze has destroyed nearly 7,000 hectares of forest.
The video shows four planes over Estepona trying to put out the fire.
