Chris Williams, 34 is a volunteer at Elephant Nature Park in Chiang Mai, Thailand.

He said: "My work is focused on their dog project, home to over 600 dogs. Pierre was brought to the park on the August 7, 2020 in an awful condition. He had become paralysed in a road accident and sadly fell asleep next to a fire and his entire tail was burnt off.

"Due to his injuries he did not feel what was going on, which left him with a terrible wound. He was covered in ticks, fleas, wounds on his legs and was in need of immediate medical attention.

"After receiving the treatment he deserved and time to adapt to his new environment, we started work on introducing him to his new friends, new life and more importantly the use of his wheelchair. The video is his transformation."

"Elephant Nature Park is home to over 100 elephants, all rescued from the riding, logging and tourist industry.
