Children aged between 5 and 11 got their COVID jabs at the Fundacion Jimenez Diaz hospital in Madrid on Sunday.

The footage filmed on December 26 shows the children queueing with their parents, then registering at a counter and eventually getting their jab in small booths set up inside the vaccination facility.

The Health Ministry is expecting to receive 3.2 million doses during December and January, which will be sufficient to administer a first shot to practically all children in Spain aged between five and 11. The second dose will then be administered two months later.

The child dose of the Pfizer-BioNTech medication will be administered to the five to 11 age group, which has the highest incidence rate of the coronavirus in the country by demographic.
