Two brothers who were unaware of each other's existence reunited after being on opposite sides of the world for 65 years.

Izak was born in Bergen-Belsen misplaced persons camp located in Lower Saxony, Germany, after the Second World War but at the age of three, he was adopted by an Israeli family and lived there for his entire life.

But prompted by his nephew, Izak used My Heritage to try and fill out his family tree which uncovered the fact that he had a brother living in Canada, Shep.

The two organised to meet in 2016, after being unaware of their family ties for six-and-a-half decades.

At the airport in Canada, Izak and Shep were able to reunite and embrace each other for the first time as they both expressed their love and admiration for one another.

Finally, the reunited brothers were able to track down their mother, Aida - she had not seen either of them since they were both babies.
