A sad pet dog sat on her owner's suitcase to keep her from leaving.

The one-year-old pet Shih Tzu named Riri looked downhearted as she watched her beloved owner pack her bag and get ready to leave their house in Rizal province, the Philippines on October 26.

Sensing that her owner would leave without her, the desperate pooch tried scratching the luggage seemingly in an attempt to stop the woman's departure. It then plopped itself down inside the bag preventing her from packing in more items.

Kimberly Dionisio Bocala said her cousin who owned the pet dog was about to leave to work again in another country when it happened.

She said: 'We were all surprised at Riri's actions. It was as if she knew her owner was leaving and wanted to go with her.'
