Protect and serve: This cop stepped up and delivered food to a customer when he arrested the delivery driver
Uploaded by a Newsflare content partner
An unfamiliar sight of a policeman delivering food met Anastasia Elsinger as she was expecting a food delivery driver to hand over her order.
In Sioux Falls, South Dakota, police officer, Sam Buhr marched up to 24-year-old Anastasia's, door with a paper bag in one hand, a drinks cup in the other and rang the doorbell camera on 25th January.
When the masters student opened the door, she was confused to find a man of the law holding her Arby's order but was quickly assured that all was well.
Mr Buhr had arrested the deliver driver on route to the destination because of, what Anastasia mentioned was, outstanding warrants against the Doordash employee.
A friendly exchange was had between the two as they both laughed with Anastasia thanking the officer for fulfilling the order and deliver before going separate ways.
Anastasia said: "The officer parked near my home and brought me my Arby's that I had Doordashed and he let me know that my driver was arrested so he thought he'd complete the order for me.
"I just laughed and was shocked, it was a wild situation.
"My driver was arrested for 'things they hadn't taken care of' which the police said was warrants."
