Media and fans are seen outside Stamford Bridge (March 10th) the home of Chelsea Football Club as sanctions have been announced on owner Roman Abramovich by the British government, freezing his assets, banning him from selling the club, selling merchandise and any tickets for football matches.
Abramovich recently attempted to transfer the football club over to a charitable foundation, though abandoned the plan after announcing an intention to sell.
He has been accused of having links to Russian president, Vladimir Putin, which he denies.
