This is the adorable moment a toddler refused to be separated from his cat while the moggy was having an anti-rabies shot.

Video shows two-year-old boy Seth Jake Caldamo wailing as volunteers carried away his beloved pet cat named Princess for the jab in Tarlac province, the Philippines on March 10.

The youngster was seen throwing a tantrum even while Princess herself remained calm while taking the vaccine.

He eventually ceased crying when the four-month-old feline was returned to his arms.

Seth Jake was taken by his grandfather to the vaccination site, where volunteers from the Animal Kingdom Foundation were providing free shots during Rabies Awareness Month.

Onlooker Marty Tabug, 24, said: ‘This kid cried so much when the vaccinators from Animal Kingdom Foundation took his beloved cat for an anti-rabies shot.

‘This scene proved how innocent kids are and how genuine their love for their pets can be. If we teach our children to be compassionate, we will be assured of a better tomorrow for the animals.’
