Artists in Thailand created a mesmerising light show that was beamed onto the facade of a museum with projection mapping.

The incredible optical illusion, which was coupled with a musical accompaniment, was shone on the museum's columns and arches, making it seem as though the building itself was moving.

The light marked the start of the Cultural District festival - an event that features a series of exhibitions showcasing Rattanakosin's heritage and architecture in Bangkok, Thailand.

Hosted by Museum Siam, the cultural district allowed visitors to watch beautiful light installations, listen to live musical performances, and celebrate the rich history behind the area's storied buildings.

Projection mapping is a software-aided visual technique in which objects, often ones with irregular shapes, are used as surfaces for light or video projections.
