Tourist with overweight suitcase shouts at check-in staff
An irritated tourist, struggling with an overweight suitcase was seen shouting at a member of the check-in staff.
Footage shows the traveller, who was booked on an AirAsia flight, clutching a black duffel bag after removing various items of clothing, oils, and ointments at the Techo International Airport in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.
He took his luggage out of the scales to weigh another bag, but when told he had still exceeded the weight limit, he became angry on January 4.
After pleading with the staff and seeing that the bags were still over the limit, he became exasperated, shouting: 'Please, please, you don't understand. Please, I speak English.'
Moments later, the man, travelling to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, with a companion, could be seen pulling items from his black suitcase.
His clothes were scattered across the floor in front of the check-in desk as he desperately tried to get the weight down to 20kg. In a final bid to complete his check-in, he decided to leave some of his belongings behind.
Shocked onlooker Michael, who was checking into a separate flight at the same time, said: 'He was worried he would be late for his flight. Most of the passengers for that trip had already checked in.
'In the end, he calmed down, but the airport policeman chaperoned him through security and passport control to make sure there were no more issues.'
