2 dead after Amtrak Train Hits Vehicle in Northeast Harris County
An Amtrak train hit a vehicle Saturday April 16, 2022 in Northeast Harris County in the 120000 Block of Beaumont Hwy @ Van Hut Ln after a car (possibly a Chrysler 300) tried to go around crossing arms that were activated.
The vehicle had two occupants and bursted into flames after impact. One person was found deceased in the vehicle. The 2nd person was ejected and found nearby, also deceased according to Sheriff Ed Gonzalez.
Investigators are still on scene.
